Papercrafts came about as I changed direction from Art Education, in which I produced Painting Tutorial Videos in a range of media, to Crafts - a natural progression as I had started card making and had produced a video on it for an exhibition at the Design Centre Islington.
I wanted to draw on my experience as an Illustrator, Designer and Lecturer. When making craft CDs in the early years there was not much choice and most contained computer generated imagery. I started with “Handmade Papers” a photographic representation of beautiful papers, designed to print well on ordinary paper. The CD aired on Create and Craft and was an instant hit. The requests for more CDs followed and we now have nearly 50 in the range.
Papercrafts is essentially a small family business, run by myself and Beverley with the occasional help from our three sons, Toby, Oliver and Dominic, as well as our fantastic card making team.
