HARD DRIVE
RUN FROM THE CD OR A HARD DRIVE?
You can run everything from the CD (which saves space on your computers hard drive ) but if you have and an older or slower computer it is true to say that everything will run much quicker if you have the application on a hard drive.
For example some computers will have trouble running the tutorial videos from the CD, putting them onto the hard drive will solve these problems.
It is very simple to copy the contents of the CD. Firstly Because the CD-ROM auto opens, you will need to close Adobe Acrobat by clinking onto the X at the top right hand corner, then you can import the files from the CD-ROM. The simplest way is to click onto the folders and applications with the left-hand mouse button (keeping the button pressed down) and drag them onto the desktop (you can then move it to a new place if you want). You do not need to copy the "autorun" and "autorunPro" files.
It would be a good idea to create a folder called Papercrafts and copy the files to that.
The instructional videos must be kept with the "intro" PDF file if you want to watch them within Acrobat reader. This is because the PDF will be searching for them in the folder it is in, if it cant find them, it will not run them. Because they are AVI videos you can always run them by double clinking with the left-hand mouse button and they will open up in windows media player.
Have fun with the CD, the technology is there to help and not hinder so don't worry if this section seem a little out of your depth, Just pop the CD into your computer and enjoy making fantastic cards.
